Redevelopment Project
The redevelopment is a long-term investment in both St Pancras Church, its parish and the wider Chichester community. It addresses current shortcomings in accessibility, capacity, kitchen and toilet provision and meeting space, while creating flexible facilities for worship, community groups, charitable work and social activities. The scheme builds on the church’s established community role, particularly its support for homeless and vulnerable people, while providing capacity for existing groups to expand and new activities to develop. Improvements to the entrance, seating and gathering areas are also intended to support future church growth.
With planning and church approvals in place, the principal remaining challenge is funding. The project therefore depends on a combination of parish pledges, donations, grants and potentially loans. If the required funding milestones can be achieved, the proposed redevelopment will create a more accessible, sustainable and community-focused centre for future generations.
